Cat Cora: I Learned ‘A Very Important Lesson’ From DUI Arrest

Cat Cora arrives at the 2012 Miss USA pageant the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, on June 3, 2012 Celebrity chef Cat Cora says she has learned a big lesson from her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence last month.
“I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable,” the “Around The World In 80 Plates” co-host said in a statement from her rep to Access Hollywood. “I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.”
Cora, 45, rear-ended another vehicle in a minor traffic collision in Santa Barbara, Calif., on June 17, according to authorities.
It was the other driver who reported to the authorities that Cora might have been under the influence.
After arriving on the scene, an officer noticed Cora “displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” a release from the City of Santa Barbara read. Cora confirmed she had three bottles of beer before driving.
Two breath samples registered at .20 and .19. After the test, she was given a citation and taken to the city’s Sobering Center.
According to “Today,” Cora has been charged with a DUI and one count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher. She will be arraigned on July 26.
