Assignment: Protests continue in Arab world

Protests swept the Arab world in 2011, with regimes toppled in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya and unrest breaking out in countries as diverse as Bahrain and Yemen.

Already 2012 has seen a continuation of the violence, with ongoing clashes between the Syrian government and opposition forces. In Egypt, political and constitutional turmoil has left the country in chaos as protesters fear continued military rule.
